Props to the DC cop at 21st & M
I have to applaud Officer Friendly for pulling over cars making left turns through the red light at 21st and M this morning. Incidentally, both drivers he was ticketing when I walked by had Maryland plates.

It's actually kind of sad that you have to applaud him - because that means that the other cops (still) aren't doing what they said they would do to change the situation.
This is true. If we had more police doing this sort of thing at strategic intersections around the city during rush hour, it would go a long way to improving walking, driving and biking in the city.
